Our Journey
Not every problem
is easy to see.
Photograph to come — a tribal community in India: families, local food, everyday life. Warmth and dignity, not poverty.
The biggest nutritional challenge isn’t always a lack of food. Sometimes it’s a lack of the right nutrition.
Chapter one
The journey that changed everything.
During her research, Shruti Mehta travelled to tribal communities across India to understand everyday food practices and the nutritional challenges that came with them.
She met families who cooked fresh meals every day. Their plates were colourful. Their diets were varied. Yet many communities continued to experience hidden hunger — a form of undernutrition where people eat enough food but may not receive adequate essential nutrients.
The experience challenged a common assumption. The issue was not always access to food. It was the nutritional quality of the food being eaten. That question stayed with her long after she returned.
Photograph to come — children eating together, women preparing traditional meals. Natural light, nothing staged.
Chapter two
Looking beyond empty plates.
Most conversations about nutrition focus on hunger. What Shruti witnessed was something else.
- Families were eating.
- Children were eating.
- Meals were being prepared every day.
- Yet the nutritional gap remained.
That experience led to a question that would become the foundation of years of research: could we improve nutrition without asking people to change the meals they already know, love and trust?
The solution wasn’t to replace food. It was to make everyday food more nutritious.
Chapter three
From observation to research.
Returning from the field, Shruti carried more than notes and data. She carried a responsibility.
The challenge was no longer simply understanding hidden hunger. It was finding a practical solution. Her research began exploring how carefully selected food ingredients could work together to naturally enhance the nutritional value of everyday meals.
- Not through complicated diets.
- Not through meal replacements.
- But through food itself.
Chapter four
A simple idea with a big question.
What if nutrition could be added to the meals people already prepared every day?
- Dal
- Sabzi
- Khichdi
- Rice
- Curd
- Roti
Instead of changing food habits, could we strengthen them? That simple idea became the beginning of what would later evolve into Power Sprinkle.

Chapter five
Years of searching for the right answer.
Finding the answer required patience.
Years were spent studying ingredients, understanding their nutritional characteristics, refining formulations and evaluating different combinations. Every stage was driven by the same purpose: to develop something that could become part of everyday meals rather than replace them.
Eventually that research led to a patented food-to-food fortification technology — and to Power Sprinkle.
Chapter six
From research to reality.
Scientific research has the greatest impact when it improves everyday lives.
To take the innovation beyond the laboratory, InstaNutrients India Pvt. Ltd. was founded, with a simple purpose: to turn research into practical nutrition solutions that families could use every day.
Power Sprinkle became the first step in that journey.

Chapter seven
The journey continues.
The story doesn’t end with Power Sprinkle.
It continues through research, learning, collaboration and a commitment to creating practical nutrition solutions for people across different stages of life.
Because every question answered leads to another worth exploring.
A letter from Shruti
When I travelled through tribal communities, I expected to learn about food. What I discovered was something much deeper.
I met families who cared deeply about feeding their children, yet hidden hunger remained a challenge despite the meals they prepared every day. That experience changed the direction of my research.
It reminded me that meaningful innovation doesn’t begin in a laboratory. It begins by listening, observing and understanding people’s lives.
Power Sprinkle is the outcome of that journey. Thank you for being part of it.

came out of it.
What began in the field became years of formulation work, a patent, and a blend designed for the meals people already cook.
